In this Zetex ZCST1555 astable mode, the frequency and duty cycle can be accurately and independently controlled with two external resistors and one capacitor. The circuit diagram (click to enlarge) generates a 5 V supply from a single battery cell and the output voltage of the circuit is maintained down to 0.9V input so that power economy can be optimised for an extended battery life.

Another type of operation mode, a monostable circuit diagram of ZCST1555 can also be seen in the datasheet. You are pleased to download complete read of Astable Operation Circuit Diagram for Portable, Battery Powered Equipment in Zetex ZCST1555 Datasheet (source: zetex.com)
