LM3354 is a switched capacitor DC/DC converters that can be programmed for an output of 4.1V, which is an ideal LM3354 Switched Capacitor Voltage Regulator Circuit Schematic voltage on driving white LED applications such a color LCD display in cellular phones, PDAs, and handheld computers. For common, white LED are used for backlight or frontlight purposes but it needs the battery voltage to be boosted since the white LED has a high voltage drop as compared to another LED.

According to the LM3354 datasheet, LM3354 is a CMOS switched capacitor DC/DC converter that produces a regulated output voltage by automatically buck or boost the input voltage. This Switched Capacitor Voltage Regulator Circuit  is capable of supplying 90mA at 4.1V output as the driven LED’s number depends on the LED current desired in each of them. You may controll LED’s brightness using a 60Hz to 200Hz PWM signal on the shutdown (SD) pin.

The above circuit schematic describe solution for driving LEDs including the LM3354 Switched Capacitor Converter in balancing the efficiency, size, cost, functionality, and LED current matching’s design.
