The 78xx Series Current Boost Regulator Circuit Diagram

This is a Current Boost Regulator Circuit Diagram using the 78xx fixed voltage regulator. You can use sort of 78xx devices such MC7800 Series from Motorolla Analog IC to install the circuitry.
Current Boosted the MC7800 series with PNP transistor, you can use 2N3055 / MJ2955 Complementary Silicon Power Transistors that will produce current to 5.0 A.
Resistor R in conjunction with the VBE of the PNP determines when the pass transistor begins conducting; this circuit is not short circuit proof. Input/output differential voltage minimum is increased by VBE of the pass transistor.
