Voltage Drop Testing of General Motors Type Cranking Circuit

The following circuit schematic illustrates voltmeter hookups for voltage drops testing of a General Motors (GM)-type
cranking circuit. As we know, voltage drop is the drop in voltage that happens when current is flowing via resistance. In voltage drop testing, low voltage drop shown low resistance and high voltage drop means high resistance.
The voltage drop testing circuit above shown:
V = Voltmeter
V1 = Testing + Battery Cable
V2 = Testing – Battery Cable
V3 = Testing Solenoid
