Trigger 555 Monostable Circuit using the Piezo Transducers

Saturday, 27. February 2010 by admindata

The diagram below circuits the piezo transducer which is used to trigger a 555 monostable circuit. Instead of triggering a monostable circuit, a piezo transducer commonly be used to trigger a thyristors.

simple piezo transducer circuit

When it is deformed, a piezo transducer will generate a voltage. If the piezo is tapped it will generate a small voltage, which is enough for triggering a circuit instead of the uncased piezo (which makes a good transducer).

555/556 Tone Burst Generator Circuit Diagram

Sunday, 29. November 2009 by admindata

The 556 timer is a dual version of the 555 single timer, they suitable for monostable or astable operation. It results in providing effective solutions for timing and pulse circuit applications.

Sequential Timer Circuit Diagram using NE555 Precision Timer IC

Friday, 20. November 2009 by admindata

A sequential timer circuit device are used in many applications for initializing conditions during start-up or for activation of test signals in sequences such in test equipment device. The circuit diagram below shows a sequencer circuit with possible applications in many sistems.

Sequential Timer Circuit Diagram using NE555

As you can see, it uses the NE555 precision timer IC which capable of producing accurate time delays or oscillation. These timing circuits can be connected to provide such sequential control with various combinations of astable or monostable circuit connections. You can used it with or without modulation for extremely flexible waveform control.

Pulse-Generator Circuit Diagram of Electronic Tachometer Using LM317

Sunday, 15. November 2009 by admindata

The pulse-generator circuit diagram of electronic tachometer is shown in the following figure. The circuit consists of an LM317 voltage regulator, a comparator, and the NE555 timer. Resistor values are in KOhm, the capacitors in uF.

Circuit of the tachometer

The LM317 will generate a DC voltage for accuraccy purpose since it remains constant as the temperature and battery voltage may vary. An LM311 comparator is used to detect the pulse from the pulse-cleanup circuit and to trigger NE555 timer.

National LM555 Datasheet, Replacement for SE555/NE555 Series and the Connection Diagram

Thursday, 17. September 2009 by admindata

The following LM555 Datasheet consist of informations about a highly stable device for generating accurate time delays LM555 Pinout and Connection Diagram or oscillation. As stated in the datasheet, this LM555 is direct replacement for SE555/NE555 since the LM555 has an additional terminals for desireable triggering or resetting.

The illustration beside shows the top view of LM555 Connection Diagram which has 8 pinouts (ground, trigger, output, reset, +Vcc, discharge, threshold, control voltage). In the depth read of the datasheet, you will find explanations about LM555 monostable operation, multivibrator running mode, frequency divider, some waveform examples of pulse width modulator (PWM), pulse position modulator, linear ramp, and 50% duty cycle oscillator.

NE555 Missing-Pulse Detector Circuit Diagram and Datasheet

Tuesday, 11. August 2009 by admindata

The following NE555 datasheet includes another 555 Precision Timers series which is produced by Texas Instruments such NA555, SA555, and SE555. In the datasheet you can find application information for designing monostable operation, astable operation, missing-pulse detector, frequency divider, pulse-width modulation, pulse position modulation and sequential timer using the NE555 series with circuit diagram for each application.

Texas NE555 Missing-Pulse Detector Circuit Diagram

The figure above shows you the NE555 Missing-Pulse Detector Circuit Diagram. According to the datasheet, this circuitry design can be used to detect a missing pulse or abnormality long spacing between consecutive pulses in a train of pulses. When the pulse spacing is less than the timing interval, the timing interval is retriggered continuously by the input pulse train.
